66 years ago on May 14 in 1948, Israeli Prime Minister David Ben Gurion declared the creation of a national home for the Jewish people.
This year on May 13 the Israel Embassy for Latvia and Lithuania organized the celebration of Israel Independence Day in Riga.
The guests were welcomed by the Ambassador of State of Israel H.E. Mrs. Hagit Ben-Yaakov.
The concert program was prepared by Max Goldin Society Jewish Culture Heritage.
Popular Israeli songs had been sung by Vlad Shulman, Ints Teterovskis and Youth choir Balsis male ensemble.
